The Arte collection is the capsule created to mark El Vaquero's 51st anniversary: three boot styles in raw linen, Clint, Arya and Larson, each pair hand-painted one by one by artist Francesca Piccini. No two pairs are alike, and no style in the collection will ever be reissued.
Over the past few weeks we have shared two stories that belong together: a collection that turns the boot into a work of art to be treasured, and an anniversary that opens a new chapter for the brand. Here they are in full, for those who want the whole story.
Clint, Arya and Larson: three boots, zero copies
When we began imagining the capsule for our 51st anniversary, we wanted to go beyond the classic idea of a boot. The three styles in the Arte collection were born from that vision: a base of raw linen, cool and natural, ideal for summer, which becomes the canvas on which Francesca Piccini hand-paints every single pair.
No machines, no automation. Strokes of vibrant color, wonderful imperfections and a pure devotion to everything handcrafted. When you wear them, you are wearing a style that is literally one of a kind: an identical pair will never exist.
Because of the complexity of the process, quantities are limited and the collection will not return to production. This is not a sales tactic: it is the direct consequence of a process that requires an artist's hands on every pair.
Raw linen: the fabric of summer
Raw linen breathes, molds to the foot and stays cool on the hottest days. For women who live in their boots year round, from morning meetings to dinners by the sea, it answers the question we hear every June: can you wear boots in summer? Yes, if they are made for summer. The Arte collection was designed for exactly that, with a natural fiber upper and the same handcrafted construction as our leather styles.
51 years and a new chapter: the real women of El Vaquero
In 2026 El Vaquero turns 51. We celebrated, but we did not only toast the past: we began telling our story in a new way.
For the first time in our history, we chose to do it through real women. Entrepreneurs, mothers, travelers chasing their dreams in our creations. No staged sets, no polished facade: today truth is worth far more than perfection. The women in our campaigns are the same women who choose our boots every day to work, travel and live on their own terms.
It is a choice consistent with what El Vaquero has always stood for: the freedom to be authentically yourself, without asking anyone's approval.
Handcrafted in Tuscany since 1975
Every El Vaquero boot is born in Tuscany, in Buggiano, where our workshop has been at work since 1975. Fifty-one years of carefully selected leathers, hand-finished stitching and lasts refined pair after pair. The Arte collection carries that heritage one step further: the skill of our artisans meets the brushstrokes of an artist, and the boot becomes a collector's piece.
